Mimoki meets Japan!
Very black hair, slanted eyes and a slight, enigmatic smile. With her little silk kimono and some little flowers in her bun, she had something that made her special and my favorite above all the others. I didn't like to be away for too long from my favorite doll during those childhood years, Mi-MoKi, as I called her.
We opened a new window on the other side of the world. From where I imagined she would come, and where I never thought we would arrive. And today the mimokis have landed in Japan.
Hiroko has been a mimoki customer for a few years. When our mutual friend, Paty Hueso from High Five Eventos got married (don't miss the wonderful video of her wedding in the post dedicated to her by Casilda Se Casa ), Hiroko wore one of our designs and since then she has not stopped visiting us and sending emissaries to buy new mimokis from her who travel to Japan. There she has worn them at weddings, parties and shares them with her friends. Her passion and that of her acquaintances for our pieces has led her to open a very special Showroom in the heart of Kyoto today, with Spanish brands and mimokis as the protagonists.
Hiroko picked her favorites to take back to Japan and we said goodbye to them the evening before with these photos in the garden.
